2022 Senior Exhibition - Lamar Dodd Art School - Athens, GA

My work is created using a unique technique called tufting, mainly used by carpet manufacturers. I am inspired by any medium using yarn materials because of the variety of textures it creates. These rugs have a soft, homey feel to them.

Tufting shapes of color that overlap onto one another creates new colors, as though the opaque yarn hues are transparent. The series features a cool monochrome palette, a warm complementary palette, and finally a tetradic blending of the two.
