The prompt of this assignment was a table top. When thinking of the audience I was creating for and what purpose it would serve, I came up with a baby's diner table whom at the beginning of their life is thier mother. A baby wrap is used for bonding between mother and child as well as to cover up while breastfeeding. The wrap shows that connection and feeling while also drawing inspiration from nature. Nature is a driving inspiration color and pattern wise because of the natural act of breastfeeding. The textures found in tree bark sparked a connection between the layers of both emotional bond between mother and child and also the physical layer of covering yourself.
